Founder and principal of Bacon Lee & Associates, Mike Bacon brings more than two decades of experience in fund development, board training and long-range planning to benefit charitable organizations throughout Texas. Prior to founding Bacon Lee & Associates, Mike was grant director for the Kronkosky Foundation, managing the grant process for more than 40 charitable organizations.  Mr. Bacon is the former president of the San Antonio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and in 2008 was honored with their Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award.

Special event fundraising can be a blessing and a curse.  We build awareness for our CASA program and engage volunteers but sometimes, the amount of work staff and volunteers put into events does not justify the amount of money raised? Sound familiar?  Come to this session to learn tips on stronger events, but more importantly, learn how to focus on relationships with event attendees that encourage them to become regular donors.
