Carol Thesing, Volunteer Supervisor- Infant Toddler Team Leader; Brandy Knudson, Volunteer Supervisor; Cathy Barrett, CASA Volunteer & Trainer and Junifer Tate Smith, CASA Volunteer, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Rosenberg, TX
Many of the parents we deal with never learned how to “parent.” This workshop will provide CASA volunteers with the skills and techniques to enhance a visit between parent and child. Volunteers will be given the tools to assess their developmental knowledge; and improve the visitation process by implementing positive, interactive, and effective ways of communication between the parent and child. In addition, tools and tips for preparing court reports and testifying in court will help the CASA gain news skills in documenting the strengths and progress of the parents.
