Ashley Coronado
Ashley Coronado is an 18-year-old honor student and freshman at Texas State University in San Marcus. She is double majoring in philosophy and general honor studies. In high school she was an AP Scholar and captain of the varsity debate team. She also a part of the TESTS (Transition and Essential Skills To Succeed) and led her own Circle of Support. In her free time she volunteers with CPS youth and has been a speaker at many events.

This workshop presents an innovative pilot in Fort Bend County that builds resiliency in youth through dynamic and empowering Youth Led Circles of Support (COS) meetings that begin once a youth turns 14. A facilitated panel of experts that includes a former foster youth, a CASA supervisor, and a CPS staff will share their passion and collaboration to change the odds for negative outcomes for youth leaving care and break the foster care syndrome by building invincible youth!
