Sheila Sturgis Craig

Sheila Sturgis Craig has over 19 years in the social service field providing diversified areas of social work. Ms. Craig serves as the state disproportionality manager for Texas Department of Family & Protective Services where she manages 13 disproportionality specialists in every region of the state.  She is a local and national facilitator for social awareness and transformation. She has been a leader in work initiative programs for welfare reform nationwide, including managing kinship care, youth development programs, conducting program assessments, evaluations, and policy development. Ms. Craig has organized and Initiated support programs for single mothers, children, fathers, and parent mentors. She is a local and national program spokesperson and advocate for children, youth and families.
