Many parents we deal with never learned how to “parent.” This workshop will provide CASA volunteers with the skills and techniques to enhance a visit between parent and child. Participants will be given the tools to assess parents’ developmental knowledge and improve the visitation process by implementing positive, interactive, and effective ways of communicating between the parent and child. In addition, tools and tips for preparing CASA court reports and testifying in court will help CASA volunteers gain news skills in documenting the strengths and progress of the parents.
